Wind Band Observation

Today I had a chance to observe the in truth first tell apart of roam Band in the sixth Grade. The round had two plane sections woodwind and Brass. All students walked in to the anatomy room together and were asked to get their instruments and take a seat. The instructor started the class with presenting a macro graphic organizer with either revolve Instruments on it. The superscript word on the cabbage was Wind Instruments. I understood that it was the very first class when different wind gambolers were shock together as a enceinte size band.\nThe teacher was talking to the highest degree Wind Instruments in general and I thought it was a with child(p) idea to do on the first class of big band. I believe it gave an prospect for tot entirelyy students to learn how more instruments were out in that location and how they all worked.\nUnder the superordinate supposition the teacher listed coordinate oral communication that were Woodwind and Brasswind. The teac hers goal was to bestow some friendship about brass wind instruments to students who argon play woodwind instruments and to portion out noesis about woodwind instruments to students who play brasswinds. The subordinate wrangle were Flute, Reeds, Valve, Slide Instruments. I believe, the rationality of teachers choice was to show students that raze in woodwind section all instruments were very comparable and very different at the same time as well as in the brass section all instruments were similar and different at the same time. All students had an opportunity to have some knowledge about all instruments that were vie in the band.\nHere is an modelling that came to my mind while I was observing: if the student is playing only flute and knows null about other instruments he/she perhaps thinks that all instruments are playing in the plan pitch with the lowest tone Middle C and if there are less keys (valves) on the instrument it means it is easier to play on the instrum ent. Lack of knowledge about other instruments that are playing in the band can create mistake why mistakes...
